Valdez Honored by Stripes Conference

Jose Valdez demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the Stripes Conference Player of the Week Award.
The Hickory third baseman wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .379 average (11-for-29) with 1 home run and 4 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor.
