Orono Blanks Quebec Behind Urbanek

In a seemingly effortless performance, D.J. Urbanek of the Orono Oaks shot down the Quebec Aces, 7-0, on 3 hits.
"D.J. was just locating so well and using his pitches," Orono manager Mike Barriga said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."
Urbanek recorded 2 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing.
"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Quebec manager Arturo Rivera said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
So far this year, Urbanek has compiled a 17-4 record with a 2.50 ERA.

Stripes Conference Announces Top Starter

When John Blackman takes the hill, there's a good chance for a Westwood victory. At least that's the way it was in May.
He excelled with a 3-0 mark and a 0.34 ERA in 4 starts, tossed 26.1 innings, fanned 27, and held enemy hitters to a .174 average.
That's why the Bruins star was honored today as the Pitcher of the Month by the Stripes Conference.
