Quebec Celebrates Wild Card Win

The manager of the Quebec Aces is reminding the city of Quebec to "keep the faith" as the team heads into the playoffs as a wild card team.
"We believe in ourselves and we need our fans to believe in us too," said Arturo Rivera. "We know we can get Quebec rocking with a great run in the playoffs."
It remains to be seen just how deep the Aces will be able to go in the playoffs, but confidence appears to be high.
"We've got the team to win a championship, I firmly believe that," said reliever Kyle Thompson.
If the team is successful, it would be the 7th ABA Development League championship in franchise history.

New Rochelle Out of Playoff Race

The New Rochelle Purple Wave kept up the playoff chase as long as they could in 2026, but now have had those chances dashed. The Purple Wave were mathematically eliminated from contention today.
New Rochelle last appeared in the postseason in 2022. This is their 4th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 20 times in their 27-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Purple Wave have made the playoffs 2 times.

Stripes Conference West Division Champs Crowned: Hickory Crawdads

Josh Reed said it takes "a lot of dedication and sacrifice" to win a division title. That's why he and his Hickory Crawdads teammates were so excited to celebrate their Stripes Conference West Division championship today.
"It's been a team effort all year long," he said. "You don't get to this point without the guys in the room believing in what we're doing."
That belief has paced the club to a 82-54 record on the season. It is the club's 5th Stripes Conference West Division championship and puts them in position for their 1st ABA Development League championship.
"It's a talented bunch in that room," manager Ray Sanchez said pointing to his celebrating players. "I wouldn't bet against us."
