Simister Batters Montreal Big Time

It was a sensational day at the plate for Paul Simister as he led the charge to a nifty 19-2 win over the Canadiens. The Hartford catcher was pure misery for the Montreal pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 6 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Simister put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the Canadiens, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Paul Simister hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Jacob Hodge in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
For the season, Simister is hitting at a .316 clip with 12 home runs, 47 RBIs and has scored 45 runs. He has 102 hits, 23 walks and a .367 on-base percentage.
