Pratt Misbehaves, Suspended 4 Games

Jesse Pratt of the Denver Pilots has been reprimanded and given a 4-game suspension for a shouting match with the plate umpire during a recent game at Ballpark of Walnut Park with the Walnut Park Bobcats. The Pilots second baseman said he didn't touch the umpire, but the umpire insisted he did.
"I didn't see it, I didn't feel it," Pratt said. "I was trying everything I could not to make contact with him. The league always sides with umpires. There is no use to appeal."
Pratt is hitting .276 for the season with 6 home runs, 28 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 43 hits in 156 at-bats and played in 75 games.

5-Hit Blitz by New Rochelle's Haessly

There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Danny Haessly is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Palm Springs Heat at Ballpark of Lexington. The monster effort from the 23-year-old left fielder helped the New Rochelle Purple Wave get the win, 15-3.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Heat manager Rogelio Sanchez. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Danny Haessly hit a solo-shot off Carlos Carachure in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Carlos Carachure in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Brent Gudim in the 8th.
This season, Haessly has hit at a .246 clip with 54 RBIs, 13 home runs and 52 runs scored.

Bang-up Game: Haessly Slams 3 Homers

It was a good day for the New Rochelle Purple Wave and an exceptional one for Danny Haessly. The 23-year-old left fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Purple Wave beat the Palm Springs Heat, 15-3, at Ballpark of Lexington.
"When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Haessly said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day."
For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 6 runs and smacked 5 hits in 5 at-bats.
