League Championship Series Goes the Distance, Hickory Prevails
Friday, October 7th , 2022
The fans in Hickory are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Randolph.

The Hickory Crawdads finished off the Randolph Prairie Thunder 9-2 in the deciding game of the League Championship Series played at Crawdad Park.

They took the series 4-3 and will now head to the World Series.

For his standout play, Hickory right fielder Ricardo Herrera was voted the series' Most Valuable Player.

He batted .323, drove in 8 runs and scored 7 to lead his club to victory.

"We could never really figure out how to pitch to Herrera and that doomed us," said Prairie Thunder manager Michael Kelleher. "Hats off to Hickory, though. That was a great series."

The Hickory Crawdads will play against the Nashville Lasers in the next round. Nashville won their series against the Little Rock Governors 4 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.

Lasers Win League Championship Series
Wednesday, October 5th , 2022
The fans in Nashville are celebrating the Lasers victory over the Little Rock Governors in the League Championship Series.

They defeated the Little Rock Governors 5-1 in the finale played at Ballpark of Newport News to capture the series 4-2.

Frank Fernandez was chosen the series' Most Valuable Player. The Lasers shortstop batted .375, drove in 2 runs and scored 6 runs in the series.

"The Governors are a good club and I don't mean any disrespect to their pitching staff, but things just felt easy this series," Fernandez said. "Everything at the plate seemed right."

The Nashville Lasers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Hickory Crawdads - Randolph Prairie Thunder series. Randolph leads the series 3 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
