On a Roll: Haessly Hits for Cycle
Friday, April 17th , 2026
It was a quite a day for Danny Haessly at University of Maine Stadium.
He hit for the cycle, belting out every kind of hit there is -- a single, double, triple and home run. The New Rochelle left fielder accomplished the rare feat during his team's 6-2 victory over the Orono Oaks.
"I never even thought about hitting for the cycle and what do you know, I did it," he told BNN reporters at the postgame press conference. "The cycle really doesn't matter to me, it's the win that's important."
Haessly went 4-for-5 in the game with 4 RBI and 1 run scored.
Danny Haessly struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Mickey Green in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and tripled in the 8th.

Mad Ants Win, 7-0, as Wright Mystifies Glendale
Tuesday, April 14th , 2026
The Glendale Muskies were almost helpless in their 7-0 loss to the Portland Mad Ants and hurler John Wright. Wright kept the Muskies confused all game, spinning a 2-hit shutout.
"Tip your hat to Wright," Glendale manager Jon Greenberg said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."
The 25-year-old right-hander had 3 walks and 8 strikeouts in a strong performance.
"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Wright said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."
