El Paso Captures Wild Card

For a team that has never won a World Series, how you get to the postseason isn't the important part. The important part is simply that you get there and thus, the El Paso Chupacabras excitedly celebrated their Stars Conference wild card berth tonight.
"There's only one thing that everyone on this team wants and that's to be champions. We want to bring a title home to El Paso and this is the first step," said closer Marcos Guadarrama. "Of course we would have loved to win the division, but we look forward to the challenge ahead."
It will be the 1st ABA Development League championship in franchise history for the team if they can pull it off.
"That's the ultimate goal," added the closer.

Baxter Springs Headed to the Postseason

The Baxter Springs Marshals may not go on to win a World Series, but the team celebrated like they had won a championship tonight after securing a wild card spot.
"We were definitely feeling the pressure. To go so late into the season and not know whether you're going to make the playoffs or not, it's intense. That's why you're seeing such an excited reaction," said second baseman Jon Olejniczak. "All our guys I think are just relieved that we made it after all that."
It did indeed take a tough battle and with their record at 82-63, the Marshals will now look to bring the 1st World Series championship to Baxter Springs.
