Cornhuskers Advance to Final 4 Saturday, May 14th , 2022 After their 11-6 win today at Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, the Nebraska Cornhuskers will advance to the Final 4. Nebraska won the series by a 2-1 margin. Leading the way for the Cornhuskers was center fielder Kent Ellis, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP. "I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus." The Nebraska Cornhuskers will play against the Virginia Cavaliers in the next round. Virginia won their series against the Wisconsin Badgers 2 games to 1. The Final 4 schedule will be announced after the Elite 8 finishes. |
