Lumberjacks Off to the Playoffs
Wednesday, August 16th , 2023
The Bangor Lumberjacks celebration was a bit downplayed today, as the team officially secured a playoff spot.
Starting Pitcher Nick Carrier said his club expected to have got to the playoffs and thus, it's not as exciting as it will be when the team wins the Southern A East Division or advances to the World Series.
The Lumberjacks record currently sits at 88-32 and they will be vying for the 3rd ABA Class-A League championship in franchise history.

Playoffs? No Chance for Columbus

The Columbus Bowsers were certainly not a team of destiny this year and now they have been eliminated from playoff contention.
"We thought we had a better chance than this," said center fielder Jim Borich. "It's a big disappointment."
This is the club's 13th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2010. In total, the Bowsers have missed the playoffs 16 times in their 24-year history.
