The Math Says - White Deer Out of Playoffs
Sunday, August 24th , 2025
While they were already on the outside looking on to the 2025 playoff chase, today the White Deer Tropics have mathematically been eliminated from contention.
This is the club's 3rd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2022. In total, the Tropics have missed the playoffs 20 times in their 26-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Tropics have made the playoffs 4 times.

Barrie Headed to the Playoffs
Saturday, August 23rd , 2025
The Barrie Admirals celebration was a bit downplayed today, as the team officially secured a playoff spot.
Catcher Phil McBreen said his club expected to have got to the playoffs and thus, it's not as exciting as it will be when the team wins the Southern A West Division or advances to the World Series.
The Admirals record currently sits at 83-40 and they will be vying for the 1st ABA Class A championship in franchise history.

Francis Goes 5-for-5 Against Cottage City
Saturday, August 23rd , 2025
Newark third baseman Steve Francis could do no wrong in his team's 4-1 win over the Cannonballers, as he collected 5 hits.
"Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Cannonballers skipper said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts."
Francis agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game.
"Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
Steve Francis doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
This season, Francis has hit at a .393 clip and produced 13 runs batted in, 3 home runs and 11 runs.
