Dale Coffey Named Premier N-A Player Friday, October 20th , 2023 Dale Coffey took ABA Class-A League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 23. For his spectacular campaign, the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks star has been named the 2023 Northern A Most Valuable Player Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the second baseman. On the season he compiled a .342 batting average to go with a .420 on-base percentage. The native of Le Claire, Iowa also added 30 doubles, 9 triples, 27 home runs, 86 RBIs and 102 runs scored. He received 18 first place votes out of a possible 24. Chris Stivers of the Newark Flyers finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Ben Shafer of the Newark Flyers finished third with 4 first place votes.
