Mountaineers Prevail, as Division Series Goes to the Wire
Monday, September 20th , 2021
In an exciting Division Series that had its fair share of drama and intrigue, perhaps it is ABA Double A fans who have come out the winner.

But on the field, the winners were the Winchester Mountaineers, who edged the Rohnert Park Cougars 4-3 to advance to the League Championship Series.

Winchester won the final game by a 4-2 count to wrap up the series. Ryan Burchett earned series MVP honors, by hitting .259 with a .355 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Winchester Mountaineers will play against the Mesa Razor Sharks in the next round. Mesa won their series against the Mobile Yard Dogs 4 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.

Tigers Win Division Series
Sunday, September 19th , 2021
Mark one up for the London Tigers.

In the crucial final game, they put away the Augusta Capitols 6-5 at The Capitol Dome to win the Division Series, 4-3 and advance to the League Championship Series.

Although his team came up short, Augusta's Eric Hicks was named the series MVP, with many of the league media feeling the series would have been over much sooner if not for his contributions.

"Hicks did a lot to keep Augusta in it, no doubt about that," said Tigers manager Jose Torres.

The London Tigers will play against the Sonoma Scorpions in the next round. Sonoma won their series against the Hamilton Bulldogs 4 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
