Rebels Buried - Out of Playoffs

They were never really in the race anyway, but the Jackson Rebels have now been officially eliminated from playoff contention.
Jackson last appeared in the postseason in 2014. This is their 8th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 17 times in their 23-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Rebels have only made the playoffs once.

Dreadful Season Sees Playoff Hopes Dashed for St. Louis

The St. Louis Cavalry certainly didn't impress many fans this with their play on the field. And now there is no hope of turning a dismal season around -- the team was officially knocked out of playoff contention today.
St. Louis last appeared in the postseason in 2017. This is their 5th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 13 times in their 23-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Cavalry have missed the playoffs 7 times.

Razor Sharks Blank Traverse City, Orduno Winner

Oscar Orduno of the Mesa Razor Sharks was one tough customer on the hill, blanking the Traverse City Bears, 5-0, on 4 hits.
"When he's on, he's tough to hit," said Traverse City manager Zach Hildebrant after the game. "He's just a bulldog out there."
The 23-year-old Razor Sharks right-hander registered 12 strikeouts and allowed 1 walk and 4 hits.
To date this season, Orduno sports a 11-5 mark with a 2.42 ERA in 22 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .214 batting average and has 115 strikeouts in 149 innings.
