Huhtinen Goes 5-for-5 Tuesday, August 26th , 2025 Even as a kid, Soini Huhtinen said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Oilers Ballpark, Huhtinen showed how well he learned that lesson. The 23-year-old catcher had 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Nashville Lasers, helping his team knock off the Montreal Canadiens by a score of 11-2. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did." Soini Huhtinen hit a solo-shot off Adam Obermeier in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Julio Matias in the 9th.
