Lasers Sneak By Jesters, 5-4
|
The Nashville Lasers faced a tough opponent in Joilet pitcher Barry McLamb, but still scratched out a win at Lasers Ballpark by a final score of 5-4 in 18 innings. McLamb went 9 innings and allowed 3 runs. The win puts Nashville at 65-63 this season.
The Lasers got a clutch hit from center fielder Josh Engelke. In the bottom of the 18th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Lasers.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Engelke told the Nashville Herald.
