Warren Gets Award for Relief Work

Dante Warren was a calming influence out of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets bullpen this season.

His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 19-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the Conference 1 Reliever of the Year Award for 2022.

The Indianapolis, Indiana native won the award with no saves in 18 relief appearances, 29 strikeouts in 28 innings and a record of 2-0 to go with his 1.29 ERA.

He received 49 first place votes out of a possible 56. Ryan Robertson of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Roy Walk of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets finished third.
