Moore Batters Minnesota for 5 Hits Saturday, April 30th , 2022 David Moore had an answer for everything the Minnesota Golden Gophers threw at him at Alexander Field. The Purdue right fielder went 5-for-5 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Boilermakers a win, 12-9. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Moore said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." David Moore singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Nate Schwartz in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Billy Mallon in the 7th. In 44 games this year, Moore has posted a .233 average and put up these numbers: 10 home runs, 27 RBIs and 34 runs scored. |
