Gallant Belts Bunch of Base Hits Thursday, April 28th , 2022 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Mike Gallant is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-7 against the San Antonio Stallions at Alamo Field. The monster effort from the 23-year-old left fielder helped the Santa Rosa Desperados get the win, 16-1. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Stallions manager Logan Greening. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Mike Gallant singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
