Hayes 5-for-5 Against Poplar Bluff Saturday, April 13th , 2019 It was a big day for Eric Hayes and he brought the White Deer Tropics along for the ride. Hayes led his club to a 10-7 victory over the Poplar Bluff Hillbillies today at Owls Ballpark, smoking Poplar Bluff pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. The 19-year-old first baseman later called the victory "sweet." Eric Hayes hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jared Jones in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 9th. Thus far this season in 10 games Hayes is batting .316 with 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has 12 hits in 38 at-bats. |
