Mexico City Sweeps into the World Series Saturday, September 26th , 2026 It was a sweet sweep for the Mexico City Aztecs as they eased past the Dollywood Partons to advance to the World Series. Mexico City won the final game by a 3-1 count and the series 4-0. "We're just fortunate to get through it quickly and be able to rest up for the next series," said Omar Snell, who was named series MVP. For the series, Snell hit .429 with a .467 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Mexico City Aztecs don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the St. Catharines Blue Jays - Glace Bay Miners series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece.
