Glace Bay Advances to League Championship Series Wednesday, September 16th , 2026 The Glace Bay Miners are one step closer to winning a World Series, and the season came to a close for the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks. Glace Bay won the Division Series 4-1, with a 10-4 victory in the deciding game at Miners Memorial Park today. Glace Bay center fielder Jose Garza was named the MVP of the series, after hitting .500 with a .556 on-base percentage. He had 1 homers, drove in 4 RBI and scored 9 runs. "I just hope I can keep it up in the League Championship Series," he said. The Glace Bay Miners don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the St. Catharines Blue Jays - Huntsville Rockets series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece.
