Chapin Tags Desperados for 6 Hits Sunday, August 2nd , 2026 It was a downpour of hits for Terry Chapin at Keelhaulers Ballpark. The St. Catharines Blue Jays left fielder tore into Santa Rosa for 6 hits in 6 at-bats to pace the Blue Jays to a rain-delayed 16-1 victory. Santa Rosa manager Angel Cano bemoaned his pitching, speculating his club got flustered by Chapin's big day. "He was beating us and we stopped locating well," he said. "That makes you get behind in the count and you can't do that when a guy is hot like Chapin was today. Not to take anything away from him, but bad location was the story of the ballgame." Terry Chapin singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
