Huntsville pitcher Robert Hendricks had a large part in his team subduing the Santa Rosa Desperados, 5-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Brent Holt picked up the save, his 11th. The Rockets win now puts them at 54-51.
Huntsville used a clutch at-bat from Rich Lewis to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Rockets ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
After the game, Huntsville manager Alec Roller applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
