Nate Roberts Named S-A's Best Player Thursday, October 22nd , 2020 Nate Roberts of the Bangor Lumberjacks proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the Southern A Most Valuable Player Award. Roberts hit for a .287 average while collecting 127 hits, 11 doubles, 2 triples, 51 home runs, 116 RBIs and scoring 96 times. He received 24 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jim Sykora of the Long Beach Keys finished second in voting, while Jamie Creed of the White Deer Tropics finished third.
