Wednesday, July 22nd , 2026
Grand Rapids left fielder Jimmy Zanghi had a big day at Jet Hawks Ballpark against the Santa Rosa Desperados. The 24-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 5-4 Jet Hawks triumph over Santa Rosa.
"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Zanghi said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."
