Hydo Gets 5 Hits Wednesday, July 10th , 2024 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Mike Hydo -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Ballpark of Bangor and paced the 10-1 Lumberjacks win over the Long Beach Keys. After his dynamite batting performance, the Bangor catcher told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Mike Hydo hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
