The White Deer Tropics clipped the Columbus Bowsers, 5-4, in 14 innings at Ballpark of Columbus. The standout performance belonged to White Deer pitcher and San Gregorio de Nigua, Dominican Republic, native Jerry Carmona. With the win, White Deer raised its record to 45-44.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Preston Hoffman? The 24-year old left fielder Hoffman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 14th inning to put White Deer up, 5-4. For the game, he was 2 for 6, including 1 double and 1 single.
