Fischer, Barrie Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
Wizards Stadium hosted a real pitchers' duel.
Pitcher Dan Fischer was sensational for the Barrie Admirals in his team's 2-0 triumph over the Kalamazoo Comets. Fischer earned the win. Jon Messer earned the save, his 8th in 10 tries.
Fischer allowed no runs on 3 hits over 7 innings for the Admirals. With the win, he is 10-2 with an ERA of 2.21.
"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Fischer.
Barrie is 64-25 and Kalamazoo, with the loss, 37-52.
