Newark Shuts Out St. Catharines Behind Perez, 4-0 Monday, September 12th , 2022 The St. Catharines Blue Jays met their match today in Newark hurler Jose Perez. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 2-hit shutout. "He just worked us over," St. Catharines skipper Freddy Coss said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat." In the 4-0 victory, Perez whiffed 9 and gave up 1 walk.
