David Cracks 5 Hits Tuesday, July 8th , 2025 It was a downpour of hits for Mark David at Werewolves Ballpark. The London Werewolves first baseman tore into Long Beach for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace the Werewolves to a rain-delayed 19-2 victory. Long Beach manager Ron Kunkleman bemoaned his pitching, speculating his club got flustered by David's big day. "He was beating us and we stopped locating well," he said. "That makes you get behind in the count and you can't do that when a guy is hot like David was today. Not to take anything away from him, but bad location was the story of the ballgame." Mark David singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, walked in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
