Dust Devils Spellbound, Moore Hurls No-Hitter
Monday, June 29th , 2026
Tom Moore really did a number on the Kansas City Dust Devils at Capitals Ballpark -- and that number was zero.
The Tampa Capitals hurler had what he later called "one of the best moments of my life," tossing a no-hitter and leading the Capitals to victory, 10-0.
"This is something special," Moore said. "I knew from the fifth inning that I had a no-hitter working. I tried to get it out of my mind, but you just can't. They have too many scoreboards in the park. They're everywhere you look."
The right-hander faced only 28 batters in the no-hit gem, struck out 9 and walked 2.
"We simply couldn't get any wood on the ball," Kansas City manager Jaden White said when asked about the epic performance. "Moore was brilliant out there. He certainly had our number."
This year, Moore has compiled a 7-6 mark with a 4.82 ERA in 15 starts.
