Mallinson Bashes 6 Base Hits Wednesday, June 12th , 2024 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Brent Mallinson. Mallinson went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Lake Elsinore pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Dust Devils Ballpark, he had a 6-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Mexico City Aztecs had a win, 21-8, over the Storm. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Brent Mallinson singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 5th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and doubled in the 9th. So far this season, Mallinson has gotten 74 hits in 216 at-bats for a .343 batting average with 10 home runs. His stats include 38 RBIs and 43 runs scored. He has played in 51 games.
