Robby Westbrook Bashes Three over the Wall Saturday, July 30th , 2022 Robby Westbrook went on an explosive hitting spree against the Kalamazoo Comets at Wizards Stadium, launching a trio of blasts to help the Poplar Bluff Hillbillies win, 8-0. The center fielder finished 4-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 6 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Westbrook said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Kalamazoo skipper Malcolm Griffin said Westbrook was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Robby Westbrook hit a solo-shot off Pat Potter in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Pat Potter in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Westbrook's current batting average stands at .247 and he has chalked up 4 home runs and 9 RBIs. |
