Behind a fine performance from John Gadsden, the St. Catharines Blue Jays knocked off the San Antonio Stallions, 13-4. Gadsden hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5 for the Blue Jays. George Branch earned the save for St. Catharines.

St. Catharines used a clutch at-bat from Pete Vega to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 5-4. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
