Big Day for Jones: Swats 5 Hits Friday, July 8th , 2022 Scott Jones had an answer for everything the Deltaville Deltas threw at him at Capitals Ballpark. The Tampa left fielder went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Capitals a win, 15-7. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Jones said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Scott Jones singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Oscar Zuniga in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
