Kujawa on Fire: 5-for-5 for Columbus
Saturday, September 4th , 2021
After a 5-hit effort to lead Columbus's 14-7 victory over the Atlanta Aggies, third baseman Nick Kujawa told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."
"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the ABA Class-A League-level is really something special."
The 20-year-old player earned his accolades at Aggies Ballpark with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Aggies.
"His swing is getting there," said Bowsers skipper Adam Farmer, who spoke glowingly of Kujawa after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Nick did that to perfection."
Nick Kujawa hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 9th.
