Jones Sensational, 15 Ks Friday, August 23rd , 2019 Poplar Bluff Hillbillies starter Jared Jones brought his best stuff to Owls Ballpark today against the Kalamazoo Comets, striking out 15 batters in his club's 11-3 victory. In a strong performance, the 22-year-old Jones gave up 4 hits in his 8 innings of work and issued 1 walk. "I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my cutter was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me." On the year Jones has compiled a 10-6 mark with a 2.84 ERA. |
