Gottlieb 5-for-5 Against Long Beach Monday, June 9th , 2025 Steve Gottlieb exploded for a barrage of base hits at Ballpark of Columbus. The Columbus right fielder had a field day in his team's 9-2 triumph over the Long Beach Keys, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Gottlieb must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Steve Gottlieb doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th.
