Horne Slams 5 Hits for Santa Rosa Saturday, August 14th , 2021 It seemed that Santa Rosa second baseman Pete Horne could do no wrong as the Desperados KO'd the Ambassadors, 18-10. Horne rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Ambassadors hurlers were throwing. "I think the Desperados were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Fremont fan after the game. "I felt good. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Horne in the postgame press interview. Pete Horne singled in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jeff Lewis in the 3rd, hit a two-run triple in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Micah Brown in the 5th and singled in the 8th.
