Cottage City Draws Blanks Against Valentin Wednesday, May 14th , 2025 The Cottage City Cannonballers were almost helpless in their 15-0 loss to the Glace Bay Miners and hurler Omar Valentin. Valentin kept the Cannonballers confused all game, spinning a 3-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Valentin," Cottage City manager said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 22-year-old right-hander had 1 walk and 6 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Valentin said.
