Combee 5-for-6 Against Long Beach
Sunday, April 20th , 2025
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Steve Combee of the Mexico City Aztecs had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate in his team's 18-10 win over the Long Beach Keys at Tony Gwynn Stadium.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 24-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Steve Combee singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
For the year, Combee is batting .500 with 3 home runs, 10 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
