Weeks Raps New Rochelle for 5 Hits Saturday, April 23rd , 2022 No matter what the New Rochelle Purple Wave threw at him, Butch Weeks hit it. He easily handled Purple Wave pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Crawdads triumph, 5-2, at Ballpark of Lexington. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Weeks's quip, Purple Wave skipper William Gregg said he "would take him up on that next time." Butch Weeks doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
