Bruins Advance to League Championship Series Monday, September 23rd , 2024 The championship dreams are still alive for the Westwood Bruins, while it's back to the drawing board for the Quebec Fighting Quakers. By a score of 3-1, Westwood won the decisive game at Jackie Robinson Stadium today. The Bruins took the series 4-2. Tony Thomas of the Bruins was named the Division Series MVP. "All our guys are really focused winning the World Series," Thomas said. "I'm not too concerned about personal awards." The Westwood Bruins don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Orono Oaks - Hickory Crawdads series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece.
