Avelar Batters Denver Big Time Friday, September 13th , 2024 Jose Avelar found his groove in today's game versus the Denver Pilots and wrote his name in the league record book. His 6-for-6 performance at the plate unfortunately wasn't enough for the Quebec Aces, as the club lost the game, 9-8. The 25-year-old third baseman told the press "it was one of those days where everything clicked." "I made solid contact, and the ball dropped in," Avelar said. Jose Avelar hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
