Orono Oaks starter Bill Frazer turned in an exceptional performance against the Palm Springs Heat at University of Maine Stadium, resulting in a Orono win, 5-2. Orono is now 97-47. Palm Springs is 60-84.
In the bottom of the fourth inning of a 1-1 tie, Orono third baseman Regis Roper reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Orono on top, 2-1.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Frazer.
