Montreal Moves on to League Championship Series Tuesday, September 23rd , 2025 The Montreal Royals and Fremont Marshalls didn't hold back anything in the Division Series, with each team pulling out all the stops in an effort to advance to the League Championship Series. Montreal won the final game by a score of 7-5 at Hedgehogs Park and that concluded the series, 4-3. "Relief is the biggest thing," Montreal center fielder Takenori Murayama said when asked how he felt. "It's a grind both mentally and physically to have a long series like this, but our guys stuck with it and Fremont deserves credit for the hard fight." Murayama paced the Montreal offence and earned MVP honors. For the series, he hit .400 with a .471 on-base percentage, 4 home runs, 7 RBI and scored 10 runs. The Montreal Royals will play against the Nashville Lasers in the next round. Nashville won their series against the Baxter Springs Marshals 4 games to 2.
