Behind Bixby, Lubbock Blanks Nashville, 5-0 Wednesday, August 14th , 2024 Lubbock Stampede starter Brad Bixby really did a number on the Nashville Lasers, shutting them out, 5-0, on 7 hits in a complete game victory. He issued no walks and had 6 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Nashville manager Kenny McElhaney. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Bixby."
