5-Hit Blitz by New Rochelle's Haessly Tuesday, August 18th , 2026 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Danny Haessly is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Palm Springs Heat at Ballpark of Lexington. The monster effort from the 23-year-old left fielder helped the New Rochelle Purple Wave get the win, 15-3. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Heat manager Rogelio Sanchez. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Danny Haessly hit a solo-shot off Carlos Carachure in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Carlos Carachure in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Brent Gudim in the 8th.
