Westwood first baseman John Whitney was sensational. He was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Spokane beat the Bruins, 6-4, in 11 innings. Spokane reliever Greg Camarillo snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Brandon Williams shouldered the loss. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Spokane.

Timely hitting helped the Selects beat the Bruins. Prime example: the two-out single Ian McKibbins registered in the top of the 11th. Facing Brandon Williams, McKibbins gave his team the lead, 5-4, when he hit a run-scoring single.

"We ground out the win," said McKibbins. "That's all that matters."
