Routh Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Montreal Monday, August 3rd , 2026 The Montreal Royals pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Corey Routh hitless in 3 at-bats during the club's 8-6 victory over the Montreal Canadiens at Oilers Ballpark. The disappointing performance ended a 22-game hitting streak for the first baseman. "I'm a little down right now," Routh said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." This season, Routh has hit at a .284 clip with 60 RBIs, 13 home runs and 47 runs scored. He has played in 94 games. |
