Monster 3-HR Day for Morgan Sunday, July 19th , 2026 Laredo Ghosts second baseman Justin Morgan sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the Montreal Canadiens, Morgan told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Morgan pushed the Ghosts past the Canadiens, 7-4. To go along with the homers, he collected 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Morgan told reporters after the game. Justin Morgan hit a two-run home run off Chris Wyzard in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Chris Wyzard in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Jerry Cirulli in the 7th. This year, Morgan has hit at a .253 clip with 59 hits, 9 home runs, 27 RBIs and 28 runs scored. |
