Oaks Prevail, as League Championship Series Goes to the Wire

Ballpark of Walnut Park played host to the climax of an exciting League Championship Series tonight.

The Orono Oaks and Walnut Park Bobcats battled hard throughout the whole series, for the chance to move on to the World Series.

In the end, Orono won the final game by a score of 3-2 and took the series 4-3.

"I think fans got their money's worth in this series. It was just great baseball all the way around," said Oaks starting pitcher Ryan Henry, who earned the nod as series MVP. "Orono fans especially, I'm sure they're all worked up right now."

For the series, Henry had a 0.00 ERA over 13.2 innings pitched. He added 11 strikeouts with a 2-0 record.

The Orono Oaks will play against the Hartford Matadors in the next round. Hartford won their series against the Montreal Royals 4 games to 1. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
