Matadors Heading to World Series

The dream of raising a championship banner in Hartford took a big step forward today. The Hartford Matadors have won the League Championship Series, eliminating the Montreal Royals to advance to the World Series.
Hartford won the final game 6-2 and the series 4-1.
Pat Anderson was named series MVP for a huge performance. He hit .400 with a .409 on-base percentage. He drove in 4 RBI, had 0 home runs and scored 6 runs.
The Hartford Matadors don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Orono Oaks - Walnut Park Bobcats series. Walnut Park leads the series 3 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
