Anders Cracks 5 Hits Monday, July 10th , 2023 Montreal Royals first baseman Matthew Anders banged out 5 hits, but it was not enough to keep his club from succumbing to the Joilet Jesters, 8-6. He went 5-for-5 and raised his batting average a few points. "If the hits keep coming," an upbeat Anders said after the game, "the runs will too. And, more importantly, so will the wins." Matthew Anders doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
