Raska hits 2 home runs to Ignite Tailgators Offense
|
The Chesapeake Tailgators reigned over the Montreal Canadiens in damp conditions.
The 3-hit performance of Brad Raska, who is tied for 5th in the SC with a .510 slugging percentage, helped the Chesapeake Tailgators beat the Montreal Canadiens, 5-2. Chris Burton picked up the win, lifting his record to 2-2 on the season. He struck out 7 and walked 1 in 7 innings, while yielding 2 runs. Eric Sawyer closed it out for his 13th save.
Chesapeake took a 5-1 lead on Raska's 16th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Dana Walker in the top of the seventh, propelled Chesapeake to the win.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Raska.
The win puts the Tailgators at 33-49, while the Canadiens drop to 28-54.
