Kaufman 5-for-5 for Marshalls Monday, June 10th , 2024 Jim Kaufman exploded for a barrage of base hits at Hedgehogs Park. The Fremont catcher had a field day in his team's 15-8 triumph over the Laredo Ghosts, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Kaufman must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Jim Kaufman hit a solo-shot off Daniel Mitchell in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a three-run double in the 8th.
