Spokane Comes up Empty Against Alvarez
Monday, May 13th , 2024
It was not a good day at the plate for the Spokane Selects. They came up empty when it mattered against Walnut Park Bobcats right-hander Antonio Alvarez, who scattered 3 hits across 9 innings and held the Selects scoreless.
"We had 3 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Spokane manager Chris McLure said later.
Alvarez chalked up 7 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 8-0 Bobcats win.
This season, Alvarez has worked 31 innings with 26 strikeouts en route to a 2-3 record and a 5.81 ERA.
