Valdez Thwarts Quebec, 7-0 Tuesday, May 13th , 2025 In a seemingly effortless performance, Ricky Valdez of the New Rochelle Purple Wave shot down the Quebec Aces, 7-0, on 5 hits. "Ricky was just locating so well and using his pitches," New Rochelle manager Brent Boudreau said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Valdez recorded 6 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Quebec manager Elias Nunez said in postgame comments to BNN.
