Big Day for Whitney: Swats 5 Hits Friday, April 25th , 2025 Today at Jackie Robinson Stadium, the Westwood Bruins fell to the Orono Oaks despite a splendid performance by shortstop John Whitney. Whitney had an exceptional day at the plate, tagging Oaks pitching for 5 base hits, but it was not enough for Westwood to come away with the win. Orono whipped Westwood by a score of 6-4. John Whitney singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, tripled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
